Quilt shown in the grey and cream fabric does not show the trunk going through each tree, directions for both ways should be included.

How do you make the grey and cream trees without the trunk? I bought the ruler to create that pattern without the trunk and I don’t see any directions for it. Would love some feedback as how to do this. Thanks!
