We had so much fun designing Moon Dance! This pattern creates the illusion of overlapping areas which appear to change color. Any three colors can be used to create this illusion. We used Hoffman Fabrics Me + You line of batiks for the cover quilt.
Materials:
(6) 2/3 yard each assorted teal fabrics (color 1)
(5) 2/3 yard each assorted red fabrics (color 2)
(5) 1/3 yard each assorted purple fabrics (color 3)
2/3 yard light gray fabric for accent strips
1 yard medium gray fabric for accent strips
2/3 yard fabric for stars (black)
1 fat eighth fabric for star centers (white)
4-1/2 yards background fabric (white)
4 yards backing
2/3 yard binding
