..so yesterday I went to T.J. Max to find some pillows to go with my Zig Zag quilt. And came home with 2 pillows for my living room, not what I was planning. So I decided to take a day for my self today and make me some pillows, since I had some scraps anyway. And I love how they turned out!
Sometimes the quilting adds so much texture! It was fun doing something different to each pillow. I put ric-rac on the blue and white pillow, then echoed that wave. And I wasn't sure about the strait lines on the big pillow, but liked it when I was all done.

I had never made pillow with a binding, and figured out an easy what to do it..
..as you can see I put my binding on my quilts while it is on my machine...
..then I cut out the two pieces for the back pillow sleeve, hemmed the edges, then pinned it to the edge of the pillow back. Then all you need to do is fold the binding over and stitch it down, just like you were binding a quilt. I machine bind by stitching in the ditch from the top and catching the back of the binding. It helps if you iron the binding on the folds first.
What a day! I must go make some dinner now.. And thanks to those who commented on my quilt!
