Funny, I feel kind of sad it's the last week of the Urban Nine Patch QAL.  This was my first QAL I've hosted and I had so much fun doing it!  I've really enjoyed seeing all the different Urban Nine Patch's!!

I just finished my solids one and love how it turned out!

I was going to add a skinny border with the same background fabric...but realized I didn't need to after putting them together...duh!

For this layout I used 13 blocks.  I had fun with the different shades of solids and ended up doing a light gray for one of my last blocks.  I love that one!

If you like this lay out, it's really easy to put them together on point.  For the side triangles cut (4) 12 3/4" squares then cut squares in half.  That will give you 8 triangles.  For the corner triangles cut (1) 13" square, cut square in half then in half again to give you 4 triangles.

I wanted to talk about quilting design options this week, but am putting that off for a bit.  Hopefully next week.

Five more blocks to go for the Urban Deco quilt and hopefully I can whip those up this weekend.

So if these Urban Nine Patch blocks entice you, it's not to late to get a Quick Curve Ruler and the Free Tutorial for the Urban Nine Patch block is on the left side of my blog and will be there for a little while longer until I release the Urban Nine Patch Pattern.

If you want to see more blocks in different fabrics and colors, you can go check them out on the Urban Nine Patch Flikr Group.

Loving the fabrics you pikecd for swoon. I started mine for the quilt along out of Hometown but have been buying up Joel Dewberry’s line to make blocks like yours. They look wonderful! Strawberry fields is one of my favorite lines – love your quilt!
